When I enable editing of front page meta tags, it still not lets me :)

May you describe better what you mean? There is just an option to use the front page meta tags, but the settings page for those meta tags is always visible.

Thanks Kiam, when I go to the settings page, after enabling editing for front page meta tags, it says it has not been enabled.

I don't have any problems with that settings; if there have been any problems, then they have been resolved.
