Hallo,
I have created new simple module to hack "links" variable in to node.tpl.php and in this moment I have implemented all of my module feature in to this module to expland its uses, in this moment not are tested but you can see my module at this link: http://github.com/kiuz/drupal-modules-collection/tree/master/linkshack/

Next days i must upload Custom-Links with new feature. If you are interested can you drop-me line.

I adding new feature to "Custom Link" module, but in this moment I'm in "debugging mode", clear and merge some function between Custom Links code and my code.

Attached on this post you can see some Screen Shot of Custom Links module with new featuere.

I am closing this issue, since it's for a Drupal version that is now not supported.
Please re-open it if the issue is also relevant for other project branches that require a supported Drupal version.
