I use quantity field at product nodes. But it should be hidden when the product is out of stock just like the "add to cart" button.

What do you think about it?

Guys, this can be easily done by modifying your node-product.tpl.php file in your theme directory. If you require more "features" beyond what this module has, modifying that file is your best option. Here's a link to it.
