I spent a relatively long time searching for this one to no avail. I created a views slideshow to put on my frontpage. I simply just want the teaser image size in that slideshow to be different than the normal teasers in my site.
I spent a lot of time searching and now I guess I'll need to ask for your help! So Help anyone? I truely appreciate it!!
Thank you

Are you using imagecache for your thumbnails? If so, I would think you should be able to select a different imagecache preset in the view used for the views_slidewhow slideshow.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm actually just using Image and Image Attach.
So you think installing Image cache will solve the problem?
Note that I have already created the size that I need, under the Images configuration option. All I need now is to simply select this size inside the view, that's all!

i haven't used the image module for a while, but isn't there a simlar option (select derivative size) in the field settings of the view?
The easiest way I've found to
The easiest way I've found to do this is by using ImageCache, as WorldFallz mentioned before. Create different presets within ImageCache for all of your different sizes. Then in the view, you can set the display of the image field you're using to the desired ImageCache preset.

yes but the image module has it's own image style mechanism-- i'm not sure if it integrates with imagecache. But I'm pretty sure you can select different presets just like with imagecache (in the image: image field settings).
Oh, by the way. I see where
Oh, by the way. I see where the misunderstanding is.
In my view, I have full control over the fields Im showing, and I actually did choose custom sized images there, that wasnt a problem. But what I'm talking about is the slideshow area itself .. you're only given 2 options: teaser, or full. So the easy part is styling the thumbnail hover fields , but I can't find a way to style the area itself which will contact the node teaser.
I hope this makes it clear?
