Issue Summary
I can't get the upload functionality to work. I choose a gpx-file from my directory in the filefield an fill out the other fields as well, just as supposed.
But the form returns with the message, that "field is required." and "A file must be provided" even though it IS filled out. See attached image of the message.
I have enabled the needed permissions.
Any one who know whats wrong?

Also have a problem with uploading GPX. Attempt to upload a file called test.gpx and after selecting 'Preview' receive the following error: A file already exists: sites/default/files/test.gpx Appears that the file does get successfully uploaded to the server but not sure why I am receiving this error.

Hmm..I believe it was due to a defect gpx-file. It seems to work fine now.

Should provide a meaningful error if the file is not a valid GPX file... turning ticket into feature request.

Another option would be to strip unneeded XML tags (if possible). Use a software called Sports Tracks by Zone Five Software which allows me to import XML from Mapsource. Then the file I export from Sports Tracks works fine with this module. If this module could strip tags which are not used such as this other software I use, that would be great and fix many issues with incompatibility.
