I've downloaded all the files needed
I have green color that everything is ok

Successfully locating SMF installation.
Successfully locating modules/smfforum/includes/smf_api_2.php.
Successfully connected to the SMF database.

This is with red

At the start drupal page there is an ugly message

warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/smf_api_2.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/omega-team.eu/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/omega-team.eu/httpdocs/modules/smfforum/smfforum.module on line 185.

Any ideas?

One more question there is an update if I download it the modules will stop working?

Hmm.

We used smfforum but had so many authentication problems (users would have to login, go to the forum, then logout and back in) that we switched to the excellent Advanced Forum module.

Just a thought...
