Search Module / Searching #'s (digits)

I've built a forum that is mainly going to be used to keep track of order numbers (for specific products, etc).

I want the user to be able to type in the digits of the order # (example, #34456) in the search field, and have the results come up with the areas in the site that have that number.

I've created test posts and forum topics with order #'s, try to do a search for them, and I get 'not found' results.

I tried searching the forum and only found one topic that might be of help, I implemented it, but it's still not working... (http://drupal.org/node/74673)

Can anyone help?
