"Internal Server Error" reported when attempting to access the site. "Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request." error reported.
Oddest part: if I connect on a system where I was previously logged in, the log-in creditials still exist and I can use the system, including administration functions. Only anonymous connections fail - which means users who have logged-out cannot connect to the site.
I suspect this is a system problem, but I'd like to provide additional technical background information to the host prior to filing (another) trouble ticket. This is a very simple Drupal installation. Only the theme has been altered - no changes to PHP. I do not have access to the Apache logs.
Attempted removing .htaccess to remedy issue - no change. The system was functioning correctly 12 hours ago. I've made no changes to modules or content.
