Hard to believe its so hard to send my users an email. I'm on a shared server - dont think i can change my memory allocation.

Maybe this isnt a bug, but why is an emailer so memory intensive? I've shut off other modules, and this still wont turn on.

Did you disable all the other modules, or just some of them?

It appears that link is the wrong one. You might try a custom php.ini file to change your memory allocation. But since no response by the OP has been made in six months, I'm assuming they fixed the issue.
