I am wondering about the usefulness of this module, since redirecting a user to a specific page after loggin in can easily be achived with the Rules module. It can do lots of more useful things, too.

But there is still a need for this kind of specific solution (LD) , cause of the simplified interface.

Yep, this may be true for beginners that do not (yet...) use the Rules module. For me, the Rules module rules :-)

I wonder if Rules can differentiate between the one time login where user sets password on the account page, and a regular login. Login destination seems to handle this very well.
