I have a new 6.14 install and after entering the admin settings I go to create content types and after creating a new type the submission form, workflow, and comments lines are there but they are just lines not selectable or changeable.

Poking around it seems like all modules that have the same ui as those do not work. I am sure I did not set something up correctly but I am not sure what it is. Does anyone have any advice?

Are the fieldsets just collapsed? Have you tried clicking on them?

They are not just collapsed. I have a test install on another machine and everything works fine. The fieldsets open and everything works.
I started a new install on another machine setting Drupal up the same way and the fieldsets are just lines and clicking on them does nothing.

I wonder if it's something with your javascript settings that's causing the fieldsets to not open?

If you mean the browser javascript settings.
I have two sites, one that works and one that doesn't.
If I use Firefox and open two tabs one to each site I see problem only on one not the other.
I also see the same thing in IE8.

Everything worked fine of the first site which was my development machine.
When I moved the working site to the host machine I encountered the error.

The problem was that I was using preview DNS and that prevented the javascript form working.
