I think its will be great if someone will wrap the hands and write or update the existing install.txt in order to reflect today's status.

As of today, no one can manage to install neither versions 0.3 & 0.4 cause a few issues and problems.

Although all the answers exiting on the issues list here but they are not concentrated in one place.

Er... We've been working like crazy on those install docs. They are available for 0.3, 0.4-alpha3 and the git HEAD through this page:

If there are issues with the documentation, please open an issue describing the issue specifically.

What installer documentation are you talking about?

We can't exactly edit the INSTALL.txt for the 0.3 or 0.4 release because those releases have already been made.

If you are referring to the documentation on groups.drupal.org, you are free to edit that yourself where you think you can make improvements :)

0.4alpha3 is installable if you edit the install script to use an earlier version of drush_make.
0.3 is certainly installable with no problems because it doesn't use drush_make at all, which has caused some of the more recent problems.

The Drush/Dash issue is fixed in Drush HEAD, we are at the mercy of waiting for a new Drush release.

You can install the latest from git.aegirproject.org following the INSTALL.txt in the hostmaster repo there, however php5-curl is required to get around another drush_make issue. I do not want to edit the documentation to say to install php5-curl, because you shouldn't have to. I would rather wait for a new release of drush_make and have it fix most of these problems.
