Single view for multiple nodes?

I am create a trip website where users can create trips. They can view all the trips created by everyone. I wnat to make a single view fo every trip that when the click on it that take it to the view and automatically displays the information of that trip. Is there a way to do this in views? I want to start in views and migrate it to panels? I figured if i can get it to work in views I can get it to work in panels. Thanks in advanced.
