I thought it would be nice for vertical_tabs to alter the CCK fieldgroup UI to add a checkbox to CCK field groups that turns the field group (fieldset) into a vertical tab.

As per IRC discussion with Dave Reid, he thought this was in the "would be slick, but probably really hard" category... ;) But, he wanted me to open an issue about it, anyway.

Do you also mean for node display - or only as a way of segmenting fieldgroups on node-edit forms? The first case would be a fantastic improvement to uid in cases with complex nodes. If you only meant node-edit, ill post it individually

This would be an option to vertical tabify for edit forms only. It's not possible yet to use vertical tabs on display since there is no form.
