Hello,

I am trying to install Drupal myself but i cannot even get past the Mysql stage. I don't know how to set up the file system, I don't know where to create my virtual server. I am at the very beginning basically - my background is in graphic design but I want to know how everything works so that I can build clean, efficient and healthy sites. I have removed everything that I downloaded and I am about to start again. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Where are you trying to do the install? On your local computer or on a shared host? If it's on your computer, do you have something like Wampserver (for Windows) or MAMP (for Mac) installed?
