After creating users' permissions to acess tinymce, it seems that the admistrator (me) cannot be enabled to use tinymce.
So it happens that authors can use tinymce but not the administrator!
I had no problems in using it before upgrading drupal to 4.7.0, and installing the 4.7.0 tinymce module.

crashpoint commentedcheck on the access controls once again to see whether the user belonging to admin group has been given permissions. does admin belong to the group that has access to tinymce ?
go to my account. do you see a link for rich text editor settings? if yes then set it to true.

Thomas Sewell commentedThe Administrator must have a role that is allowed to use TinyMCE checked on their user profile.
