This is an in-progress tutorial I'm writing for my own use but which, if people think its helpful and brings something not currently easy to find, I'd like to submit for inclusion with the other Rules tutorials.

To do that it must be clear and sound. So if there's something here that's unclear or I've misunderstood or is a stupid way to do things, etc, please comment as appropriate!

Maybe I shouldn't be putting this in the issue queue at all - if there's somewhere more appropriate, please advise! (But I think it is something that, if put out there, should be OKed by others first.)

The tutorial presents one way to ...

Easily change anything in a node using Rules: How to find the value to change, how to find the value you want to change it to (even if it's in another node), and how to change that value.

(Part 1 will appear in my next comment here shortly.)

That would be a great addition to the handbook. You can add it to the tutorials section and from there it will be available for others to edit it as well, like a wiki page. I don't think it really needs to be reviewed here beforehand. This will help keep the issue queue lean and make the info more accessible.

Hi Nick,

I was trying to find the link for the tutorial. I'm running into a similar issue on an issue you submitted earlier on populating content taxonomy fields from referenced nodes (http://drupal.org/node/655710). Any links to info or tutorials on how to do that would be awesome. Thanks!
