Node Moderation, nmoderation voting api and 4.7

What is the status of Node moderation module for 4.7. It is listed in the 4.7 modules but the promotion feature does not seem to work. Anyone have any word on the latest development on it (and I mean the very latest - am pretty sure I've been through everything that's been documented so far)

On a positive note
The karma module is working as of yesterday. There's a new cvs version of it that just plug's and plays.

Have tracked the issue...
...a little more specifically. The promote feature actually works - once - but if you change any of the variables (or at least the threshold variables) it won't ever work again. Even if you re-intstall or turn on/of the modules. Did some cpanel restores with a clean system to verify this.
