I have a few thousand pages of content and my search just stopped working, this is the error I'm getting in my watchdog:
Compilation failed: characters with values > 255 are not yet supported in classes at offset 143 in modules/search.module on line 265.
Anyone know how to fix this, this is a severe issue!
Thanks in advance

I also have a few thousand nodes
and search has also stopped working. (4.6 version)
No error messages in the watchdog log though. Any ideas?

manual reset of search indexing settings
seems to be the only way to get the search module to update now.
When I add new nodes (in any content type) the search module never updates the indexing status.
Consequently the cron run does no indexing.
Does anyone know where the indexing status information is stored in the database?
Which table holds that information?

hello?
As the original poster mentioned. This is a severe issue.
Can anyone see why the search module (in 4.6) should suddenly just stop to telling cron to update?

has anyone else had this problem?
Or are search problems with 4.6 not of much interest to anyone here?
