The bloggers module was previously abandoned, and this module integrates code that it had at the time. Rather than having multiple blog projects with the same features, I'd love to bring you on as a co-maintainer. There are a lot of good patches here that simply need to be committed, but none of my latest work has been blog related so I've been having trouble finding the time.
