Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Please add Serbian language to localize.drupal.org (I did check at http://bit.ly/9xdtL that there is no existing issue for this language)
We have a lot of Drupal translated, so we would like to submit that effort to main site.

apadernoWhat is your relation with http://drupal.org/project/sr? You are not the maintainer of that project, nor you are one of the committers.
apadernoI forgot to change the status.

MacMladen CreditAttribution: MacMladen commentedI'm a little red riding hood.. :)
I did not commit to translation there but am trying to be active in Drupal community where I initiated g.d.o Serbia and am I also collaborating on translation on this site http://l10n.montenasoft.com where currently translation is happening.
I made a sugestion that we should move that effort to mothership l.d.o and I hope you will help us with this.
I put up a question on Serbian group and I'm waiting for the key man, pivica, to agree to be maintainer. If does not want to (but I hope he will agree and move all effort here) I can accept to be maintainer but pivica and others are more active and "older" members.
However, I put this request just to speed up things as I believe he will accept and other will as well.

pivica CreditAttribution: pivica commentedI am a current maintainer of http://drupal.org/project/sr and yes we want to transfer our localization project from http://l10n.montenasoft.com (which I also maintain) to http://localize.drupal.org/.

Gábor HojtsyI'm also seeing a huge mass of translations at http://drupaler.ru/translate/languages/sr what's your relation to that effort? It looks like a bad idea to ignore the thousands of translations done there.

pivica CreditAttribution: pivica commentedHi Gabor,
If you remember that emails we exchanged in march 2009, subject "[drupal.org] Serbian localization server" - I already explained there all.
In short, we didn't ignored drupaler.ru sr project - we imported all Drupal core translations from http://drupaler.ru/translate/languages/sr and then we completed Drupal core translation on new localization server. Although quality of translation is far from production state at least all Drupal core is translated to Serbian. Then I created http://drupal.org/project/sr and imported all translation to cvs.
I have checked http://drupaler.ru/translate/languages/sr and I don't see any new work there from last import - so I think there are no new translation on drupaler.ru that we didn't picked.

MacMladen CreditAttribution: MacMladen commentedYou could also see that there is much effort on community around pivica and it is far from "taking control of the world" and neglecting other efforts.
We tried to consolidate work here on drupal.org at http://drupal.org/project/sr, then on groups.drupal.org/Serbia and also setup a server at http://l10n.montenasoft.com/
What we are looking now is to make it even more offical and to move to localize.drupal.org.
We are not too much active so please, help us by helping to consolidate translation at best place and that is localize.drupal.org so we will have both translation and Serbian group.
And that would be much of it.

pivica CreditAttribution: pivica commentedAny update on this issue? Internally (in our company) we would like to start D7 translations and start to organize anybody from Serbian community that is willing to help. We would like to have a Serbian project on l.d.o before starting a D7 translation.

tomaja CreditAttribution: tomaja commentedWhat is the problem with this issue? What must be done to get Serbian language added to localize.drupal.org ?
Gábor HojtsySorry for the delay. Created team at http://localize.drupal.org/languages/sr and made pivica the initial owner / admin.
Please expect that there might be bumps in the service. You are among the beta-tester of this live instance. Thanks for helping out and please report issues as you find them! Your team members can now join and help import existing translations and work on more translations.
Anybody can sign up for being a member of the team and they will be able to submit suggestions right away. The initial admin can change permissions of people signing up, widening their capabilities. See http://localize.drupal.org/node/616 for explanation on how. It is highly suggested to grant both moderation permissions to those who you also designate admins.
I've also removed the listing of the drupaler.ru server on http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server and informing the maintainer to close the team there.
Welcome on board!

Gábor HojtsyPlease do not forget to shut down the existing of your own so that we minimize any confusion as to where should suggestions be submitted.

tomaja CreditAttribution: tomaja commentedOh, thanks. This was fast.
Now I urge on pivica to import translations from http://l10n.montenasoft.com/ so we can continue our work.
Gábor HojtsyAlso, please get the language team lead at least to subscribe to http://localize.drupal.org/news but it could be useful for language team members as well. Upcoming and rolled out changes are announced there.

pivica CreditAttribution: pivica commentedThanks Gabor. We will import current sr translation to l.d.o as soon as possible and then will shutdown old server. I have already updated http://drupal.org/project/sr front page and post new news on old localization server to inform all people about new situation.
