Hi - I'd like to request increased permissions on Drupal.org, specifically the level necessary to administer URL aliases, which from what I understand is the "administrator" role. I fully realize the responsibility this entails, and believe I am trustworthy and experienced enough to be trusted with this level of access.

I have been involved fairly heavily in D7 patch reviews and testing, and along with @jhodgdon led the D7 Help page overhaul that took place over the last month or so (see #537828: Help text for core modules - update to conform to new standard and anything tagged with d7help). This work is now wrapping and we are in the position where we need to move on to completing the Handbook page updates. It is no secret that the Handbook is a bit of a mess at present, and many pages don't have aliases.

While creating handbook stub pages I had to request aliases several times over IRC, and with the upcoming work this will certainly continue. It would be great if I could be given appropriate permissions to set the aliases myself, as it will speed up work on the Docs team end if I can create them, and let people ping me to create them on IRC.

I've also been working through the main Docs queue, trying to get a gauge of what other work is in there so I can help rally the team around the highest priority issues for D7 launch, and am committed to continued involvement and leadership on the Docs team (as well as my other interests, training people on and assisting with patch reviews, and event organization).

That's my plea! I'll get some supporters in here to vouch for me. ;-) Thanks!

Ariane has shown immense amounts of ass-kicking in docs over the last months, not to mention her longstanding support of the local Drupal community. I'm sure she would be a trustworthy and awesome addition to the d.o admins.

+1 I've worked with Arianek heavily in the D7 help issues and she's thorough and a darn pleasure to work with. I'd recommend her to be given more admin privileges, given that she's taken on a leadership role in the docs team.

ps. for more info, my g.d.o profile - http://groups.drupal.org/user/984/ (i'm an admin for the Vancouver group)

+1. The measure of whether someone should get permissions elevated is when they have to bug other people with those permissions all the time to get their job done, sounds like it's got to that point :)

Possibly a bit presumptuous to give my +1 here since I'm a bit of an unknown, but I'd like to vouch for arianek.. I was a fly on the wall while she battled her way through the bulk of the Help standards etc the other week and found her work to be consistent and reliable. On top of that she's a great community member and certainly has my confidence.

I think her commitment to Drupal is unattested and that we'll all win if she's given the access she needs to get even more great things done :) Good luck Ariane!

I can also vouch for Ariane's extensive local involvement and have watched (and been awestruck) as she has grown publicly. I have worked closely with Ariane and it is always a pleasure. Her commitment to the Drupal community is infectious and easily demonstrated by her ongoing work.

+1 Ariane is one of the most trustworthy and committed people I know. Her contributions to D7 and documentation pages speak for themselves.

Promoted to site maintainer, but would like to get approval from someone higher than me (considering I just got promoted to admin) to promote to the final everything-permission 'administrator' role.

I've been an admin for a year or so, but I don't now if two counts as a quorum or not. Marking RTBC, if no objections by this time tomorrow, I'll fix it, or the third administrator to come across this should.

+2 for her leading role in the help file fixups for D7
