Comments most welcome, especially on the design part (I went through a lot of trouble picking colors and stuff :)).
Have fun!

its like mine!!!
i posted my website 2 days ago and i think we have the same taste.........
my site is http://immy.myboard.info and im also using nifty corners.......
very very similar to your colors. nice but im thinking to switch to different colors. I have to agree that colors are the hardest part of theming.
im using bluemarine theme which one are you using?
Yeah, similar
Yes, definitely some similarity. Probably those nifty corners. :)
My design is also based on bluemarine, so that's another reason. I have found bluemarine theme to be really adequate and a great starting point. Most of the others themes are quite buggy.

The Linux Portal
True, Colours are difficult to find and match
After much tribulations and trials we chose a warm and loud
colour scheme for our community site as we expect a lot of
younger visitors

Someone suggested

which was of great help
A great deal for business.

Nice!
Are those little icons automatic for the modules used? Like delicious, google, bookmarks etc
The fonts are small by default, maybe you should enlarge it a bit :)

Sorry for pasting the URL here, but curious to know what module is for the Gallery, which has nice thumbnails in a block to the left, very nice, is it AcidFree?
changed
now my url is http://immy.myboard.info/sitelancers/
i changed quite a few things :) looks fresher now hehe.
Nice
Yes, I like the colors.
Apropos images, my recipe is to use the image module (built in) and additionaly install img_assist which will empower you to do what you want (insert images easily in your nodes, align them with the text). There might be other better ways to do that, but hey, life is short. :)
Good luck!

How do you guys create those
How do you guys create those rounded corners? Nice sites:-)
Nifty corners
Rounded corners are created by following this site: Nifty Corners Cube by Alessandro Fulciniti. It's actually the third article in the row on the same subject.
While it looks complicated, it actually isn't. You need to integrate one javascript and one stylesheet file into your theme, and then add line or two of javascript to initialize boxes that you want rounded. It's pretty slick, no additional images are needed to get the corners rounded.
If there's more interest, I could invest some time and write an article that explains how to integrate nifty corners with drupal.

I am not trying to be a freeloader, but an article would be really helpful. Thanks for the answer.

Primary links engaged!
You're completely right! Busy with all other stuff, I completely forgot to establish menu.
It's fixed now. Together with forums.

looking good, mostly
I like the layout, the rounded borders are nice. The blue text on peach background is kind of eye burning, though..
Seems like you've got a lot of readers :)

Hm, I just noticed this thread is over a year old..

Need reliable Drupal hosting?
thanks for your comment
I like the layout, the rounded borders are nice.
Thanks. Borders are currently visible only in Firefox, which is the prevalent browser on the site (75%), but I'll probably do something to make it prettier for IE users, too, in the near future.
The blue text on peach background is kind of eye burning, though..
Really? All the time I was afraid that blue-on-blue in the right sidebar is possibly problematic, not left sidebar. But now that you mention it, I'm becoming suspicious of the left column, too. :) Anybody else has trouble with blue-on-peach? Sometimes I really think I'm color blind. Not completely, but close. :)
Seems like you've got a lot of readers :) Hm, I just noticed this thread is over a year old..
Yes, even though I'm still not devoting enough time to write quality content, there're some good articles which attracted people to subscribe. Although, some other sites managed to get even more readers in a month or two.
