This happens only whenever the 'Node Gallery: Image Count'-field is added to the table of a view of the 'Gallery' content type.

I would have to check the alpha11 version to be sure.. unless I am not looking at the same thing here..
The distinct setting in views has to be set to 'yes', and you need to use the latest views release 6.x-2.8
I had alpha11 and just changed to the latest dev last week and the image count works ok so far..

can some one post an export of the views code so i can run it and maybe see whats up.
It's easiest to copy the export from views to a .txt file and attach it here.

Any 2.x views bugs are won't fix for 2.x because they're all fixed in 3.x.
