I have two php pages created in my directory (page_front.tpl.php and page.tpl.php) and on the page_front file I have slideshow so there are two views after the user clicks into the site. I create a Node called Home which on the publishing option I checked to promote to Front page, well the title shows up where you can click but none of the text in the body shows up. Can anyone tell me how to make the body show up on the homepage of the node I can created?
I do see that when I promote other pages to the front, the body also does not get pushed and I noticed when I do not promote any page to the front the default Drupal page appears that gets the user started. So I guess another question would be is How do I edit that Starter page that comes with Drupal since that seems to default to the front and you can have the body in it.
