The most important improvement is that this release makes use of Drupal's new installation profile packaging system. This allows the profile to ship with Drupal core and all required modules, which should make installation much easier for users. Other changes are outlined below.

• Gave "manager" role access to the XML data provided by Edition Viewer.
• Removed duplicate dependency of the editnews module.
• Changed the path "home" to the more generic "<front>" for block visibility restrictions.
• Granted to the "administrator" role new permissions provided by the Image module.
• Reworded sections of README.txt to reflect the new installation process. Although the documentation no longer discusses required modules (as Drupal handles this for us), special thanks go to burtadsit (#315330: CCK) and younghans (#425376: Innovation News profile requires unavailable modules) for their contributions.
