An error message reads:

HTML Mail requires the PHP Mailer class to properly send HTML Mail. Please download the 2.0 version and place the phpmailer folder in your messaging_phpmailer module directory. Rename the folder to "PHPMailer".

There is no such version as "2.0 version".

This message would be more helpful if it specified the correct and specific version required and supported.

I second this suggestion. The ReadMe file needs to be updated to provide direction to those who are installing under PHP5.

PHPMailer v2.0 is for PHP4, according to PHPMailer's SourceForge webpage.

So please, does this module even work with the PHPMailer v5?

PS And to add to the confusion there is also a Drupal module called PHPMailer with a 2.x version ...

I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of the above issue.

A patch has been made for the 3.x version (but not 2.x yet)
