I am interested in selling node access through Ubercart and this module would be great.
I see that it is still in development. When will it be ready for production?

Does this module actually work? Long time without commit makes some people paranoid, but sometimes if it works well enough it doesn't really need a commit.

I'd like to propose a course of action to get a stable release out for the 6.x version of the module.

I'd like to see the two current bug issues in the queue for 6.x addressed and then put out a release candidate. The issues in question are:
#551340: ONLY works if the purchaser already has an account
#358545: No start delay

One is already "Reviewed & Tested by community", the other needs a better patch.

I am also looking for a stable release to this module and am willing to help. We are currently building a feature for this module that should be done soon that will allow admins to manually give expiring access in the same way you can do that now with Roles and File Downloads. Hopefully when we submit this patch it will be incorporated into the dev.

Node Access Product does not work for us because it does not work with ubercarts attributes.

ok so is that why I cannot get uc_node_access to work? If attributes are in use anywhere in the store OR just on products with the uc_node_access feature enabled, then node_access will not work?

I removed the use of attributes on the product that I was using to sell the access grant, that is the product using the uc_node_access feature, however, that did not solve the problem. I still have Ubercart attributes sub-module enabled and other products using attributes, so perhaps uc_node_access doesn't work if attributes are in use at all, not just if in use on the node.

This module is called UC Node Access and it works perfectly with Attributes.

There is a different module called Node Access Product that will work fine with a product with attributes, however you cannot utilize the power of attributes to sell node access on an attribute level.

I hope that clears things up.

This is very helpful. Thank you. Actually I am struggling to get uc_node_access to work, it is still is dev, and the issues queue responses are a bit slow. I am hoping that node_access_product will work for me. That module seems more matured and in our case I don't need it to work with attributes. I wasn't aware that there was another module to facilitate selling node access. Thanks again.
