Taxonomy terms page disappeared

All my taxonomy terms pages disappeared after I installed Pathauto. For example, before Pathauto, going to taxonomy/term/9 gave me a page with all the nodes with that particular taxonomy term. After Pathauto, that page still exists but there is no content in it - just the page header confirming that this is the page for that term, but none of the nodes that are supposed to be there. After having scoured the Drupal site I am no closer to a solution. How do I get my taxonomy term pages back? (Disabling Pathauto made no difference.)
