Hi,

I am attempting to set-up PayPal Website Payments Standard and Ubercart 2 but am having issues. I have followed the instructions on the doc/forum pages (http://www.ubercart.org/forum/documentation/3350/updated_paypal_wps_conf... / http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/3356/configuring_paypal_website_paymen... ) as close as possible (except for workflow module)(and yes I do know it is for Ubercart 1 and not 2, but I cannot find instructions for Ubercart 2).

I have chacked and had someone else check that PayPal is set-up correctly.

At the moment, I can add items to my cart, go through the checkout, using an email not used with PayPal before, and get taken to PayPal. The page shown just asks me to log-in. There is a link which shows the "create an account" page.

But I do not want users to have to create an account. I was expecting to see a page asking for my credit card details.

I have checked (several times) all the settings, but will check again. I ahve cleared the browser and server caches, have tried different machines and browsers and various emails, but nothing. In the mean time, three questions:

1. Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong, even if they are basic.
2. Point me to documentation for Ubercart 2.
3. An image of what the paypal page should look like.

This should really be in the Ubercart forum.

However, since it's not really an Ubercart problem, here goes: Website Payments Standard on Paypal pretty much focuses on getting your customers to sign up for PayPal unless they notice on the lower left the option to pay without signing up. It is in small letters and hard to notice.

Your three options are

1. Spend an extra $30 a month for website payments pro
2. Create a custom paypal banner on top of your paypal page and point out the tiny wording
3. Sign up with a merchant account to clear your cards

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I did post in the Ubercart forums as well but after a couple of days got no replies. I do like Ubercart, but the forums are no where near as good as Drupal, in terms of replies.

Anyway, I knew about all the other options, and whilst £20 per month is not a lot, until the store has proven itself that cost cannot be justified. There is no tiny wording saying they do not have to sign up, I and several others have checked and double checked.

Anyway, I did eventually sort the issue by uninstalling the paypal and various other modules and reinstalling them. As well as clearing caches. Howver there were still a few minor bumps in doing so, but have got there in the end.

I wonder if maybe in the UK that option is not offered.

For what it's worth, as soon as I added the payments pro option, about 90% of the traffic went there. The question is, how many sales do you have to lose to justify it? It varies....
