hide or remove the option when there's only 1 type of relationship

for most and typical social networking site, the community will only have 1 type of relationship, and that is Friend.

so, i think by default, if the system has only 1 type of relationship, users shouldn't be prompted to choose from an option form which will only list 1 type of relationship.

2 occasions that i can remember in hand now is when a user is adding a friend, another is the node access when creating a node.
