I have installed and set up adsense successfully on several sites.
It works well with adds and links.
Now I am trying to configure Adsens for search but this does not work.
The Adsense search box shows up correclty, but when using for a search, it returns an error looking like this:
Not Found
The requested URL /cse?cx=partner-pub-2041514278745847%3A2308935293&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&sa=Search&q=essai&ad=w9&num=10&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.controlchaingroup.fr%2Fadsense%2Fcse%3Fcx%3Dpartner-pub-2041514278745847%253A2308935293%26cof%3DFORID%253A10%26ie%3DUTF-8%26as_q%3Dessai%26sa%3DSearch was not found on this server.
In the Adsense control panel, the ads are stated "New", not active like the others.
What can be wrong?
Thanks for help

jcnventuraDo you have clean URLs enabled?
I am finding it weird that the error starts with /cse as the configured path is usually /adsense/cse..

jvieille commentedYes, Clean URLs is enabled.
Shall I disable it?
What are the possible side effects?
Thanks
Comment #3
jcnventuraNo, please leave Clean URLs enabled. It's a lot better (including for me, as all my sites have that enabled).
I guess that the problem is related to that /cse as the start of the results path.. Can you please PM to me a URL to a page in your site in which the search block is enabled??

jvieille commentedYou can look there, I validated

Type something in the Adsense search box

jcnventuraThanks for the link.
I think I know what your problem is. As explained in "admin/settings/adsense/cse":
The Slot ID for CSE is NOT the number below the ad in the 'Manage Ad' list. Ask Google for the CSE form HTML code again and you'll be able to see it there. Usually, it's something in the form abcdef-ghij..

jvieille commentedthank you so much!
I was assuming that search elements would be handled the same way than ads...
