uninstalled and copied back gmap and now no new adresses are being geocoded, i can see lat/long for previously added users but the system wont generate them for newly added ones. any ideas? i completely reinstalled gmap and location, tried another map key. nothing worked, it was all working fine. all this is happening after i installed google map tools to try it out, which didnt work and threw 404 errors, i uninstalled it and went back to my gmap/location set up, but its busted now.

please help! this is killing me

The most common cause of this is that the geocoding for your country/ies gets reset to "None." Try going to admin/settings/location/geocoding and scroll down to the country you're geocoding for, and make sure one of the options is selected. Submit the page, then scroll back to that country and click configure parameters. Make sure there's all the required information there (if you're using Google to geocode and have GMap, it should inherit the information automatically).

If that doesn't fix it, it will at least narrow down the possible causes.

I am having the same problem. Older nodes are geocoding fine, but new codes don't create geocode coordinates or gmap.

Stuck in the ocean!

Some nodes geocode fine, others show a marker in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Africa. Not sure why some nodes are geocoded and others are not. Hitting the 'regenerate markers' button has no effect...

U.S. geocoding is set to use google...

any other suggesting?

Yep, having same problem here. Thought I fixed it for a day but new nodes won't put in the coordinates.
