Playing audio files with SWFtools / 1 pixel out - 2 questions

I have installed swftools for use with audio mp3-files. I activated 1 Pixel Out and Flowplayer 3 succesfully. In the File Handling-menu I selected single mp3 to run with 1 Pixel Out.

I made a link to an uploaded audiofile, but 1 pixel out doesn't show up, in stead, Quick Time plays the audio, and on an other computer a different player, but not 1 pixel out.

1. Am I right to expect a 1 pixel out to start, or didn't I understand it correctly?
2. If 1 pixel out should start, does anyone have an idea what might go wrong?

how did you make this link?

may be better to use filefield.mdoule to upload the audio file directly to your site or the emfield.module if pulling from 3rd party sites.

We still use FCK Editor and I made the link in it. The file was uploaded via a regular ftp program - Cute FTP.
I will try your suggestion tomorrow - it is midnight here in Amsterdam.

when it comes to editors, I've no idea how well integrated they are with other drupal options. I believe there is a filter that you can use on the input format of choice.

If i am understanding what you are doing, you need to do more than a link. There is an adjustment in your input filter and you need to use some SWF specific syntax to embed the file and show it as a player. I don't have The link handy but look for those 2 thing in The documentation. Input filter and embed syntax. Something like [swftools file="xyz.mp3"]
