Hello All,

I am very new to Drupal, and CMS in general. Recently, I've been getting inquiries from clients about instituting CMS on websites that I've developed using xhtml and css (very limited js) so that they (the clients) can perform updates "willey nilley". I've decided to go with Drupal over more commercial wysiwyg apps such as Joomla, Blogspot, or wordPress; simply because I figure if I can get my brain wrapped around Drupal (an accurate CMS) then all the other should be a piece of cake. My problem is that I quite literally don't know where to start.

I found an excellent blog article by Nick Sergeant, posted in 2007 that was extremely intuitive and great for newbs like myself:

Problem is, they are from 2 years ago. The critical modules that he incites are no longer relevant for current versions of Drupal. Can anyone recommend similar posts that give step by step direction on turning html mock-ups into a fucntioning Drupal site?

Any and all help is appreciated, and TIA

Respectfully,
James
