User language is not synced with phpBB3 user profile language preset.

Better would be switching forum language depending on drupal choice because if you set language prefix with fallback without set language in user prefs you are able to browse drupal site using a language based on prefix.

e.g.: If I use drupal anonymous user and prepend language prefix to pages I could browse the drupal site using the language I choiced, would be nice if phpbbforum will use this info to switch phpBB3 forum language.
