To make sure I have followed the instructions detailed on the tutorial video to a T on an absolute fresh and clean install of drupal 6.15. I am getting stuck at the point where I have uploaded a video and then try to view the video. What happens is the Dashplayer appears but with no video???

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated... this is a fantastic module... if I can get it to work?

I have the same issue. I've uploaded a .flv file and embed this via:

         if (!empty($node->field_video_upload[0]['view'])) {

                    $params['votingenabled'] = 'false';

I see the player but the video is going not to be loaded.
Embedding an emfield video works well.

I know that everything worked well some months ago. Maybe some changes happened in the last updates of CCK's filefield module?

Help is really much appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback on the same issue design.er, I have now spent about 25hours trying everything I can imagine with no luck.... with your input this tells me that the Dash Media Player in not actually available to anyone coming into it NOW with the currently downloadable support modules.

I don't know whter i'm angry, frustrated or just plain tired from staying up to the wee hours of the morning.

Any support for this will be greatly appreciated... but I think now I have to migrate to some other modules to finish the clients job... its a shame seeing as it looks so good and so much work seems to have gone into making it.

I understand you - not least because I have the same situation with my current project - but you can believe that Travis is doing everything to get things up and running as quick as possible. He does it all in his spare time and cannot provide full-time professional support.

I can imagine that something has changed in CCK's filefield module what the current version of Dash player can't handle with.

Help is really much appreciated.

Hi, just to add that I have the same problem but it seems that it is not filefield. I also tried adding a CCK field dashplayer_media which you can add the path to an external vdeo / audio. This also produced the same results.

I may try going back to the versions as described in the tutorial i.. drupal 6.13 etc..

Will post back results.

I tried using the exact module versions in the video tutorial for Create Content on the TMDigital Site but still same issue - no audio, simply the buffering icon. Beginning to think that it might be an issue with the server and PHP version perhaps.

Any insight form a Dash expert would be much appreciated. If we are to hold off until the next release that's fine and I will support with testing if required. Infact I would be happy to do that.

At this stage I still believe I can get this working but time has run out )-:

Thanks for the complements. I am pretty sure that your issue is with the connection between the player and your drupal installation. Have you ever used the application Charles? This is a great application to help debug what the connection is doing and will reveal all the communication between Flash and Drupal. Please try to install this application, and then retest with this program running. Then post the results and that will give me a better idea what might be happening on your server.

Hello,
I give my experience with this problem:
1 - XAMPP for Windows Version 1.7.3 and Dash Player doesn't work but When I install views-6.x-3.0-alpha2 and cck-6.x-3.x-dev the dash player playlist work fine "
$params['playlist'] = 'videos';
print dashplayer_get_player($params);
"
but dash player without views doesn't work but it works only when I desable use keys in Services Settings.

2 - XAMPP for Windows Version 1.6.8 and Dash Player work fine without views, cck release but the problem still with desable/enable use keys in Services Settings.

Hi Travis, thanks for getting back to us.

Here are my Charles results - hope this helps. FYI I tried everything using all the modules used in the tutorial i.e. with drupal 6.13 but same results. Also I have tried the 2 branch of Services both beta and dev again with the same results.

unchecked "Use keys" in Services - Authentication. First of all make sure, you selected "Authentication module:" u configured earlier
