After importing custom flexinodes (book pages) into category, the pages are no longer correctly themed. I'm guessing that something simple and rather obvious has changed, but I'm not sure what it is...

Any ideas?

Any ideas why this is happening? Category shouldn't change the node-type, and I'm not theming with taxonomy... so what's happening here?

Category changes quite a lot for books and taxonomies, so I'm not surprised. Otherwise, this is nearly 3 years silent issue, and 4.7.x no more supported. So closing.
