Add Popup API support [#664622]

I've come across a great module that supports modal (popup) forms and content (Facebook style) in Drupal:

There have also been Drupal modules whose goals have been to integrate these display techniques and make them easier for us to utilize within our sites (@see Lightbox2, Greybox, jQuery UI). But I think it's safe to say that none of these really scratch the surface of a full-fledged API that allows you to fully integrate these into your site in a... shall I say... 'sexier' way than Popups API.

It would be awesome if someone could create a module to add popup API support to node_gallery (similar to the lightbox2 functionality).

Why would you want to do something that Lightbox2 already does? Well, if you're using Popup API already for comment forms it would be nice to implement the same technology throughout the site for a consistent user experience. Unfortunately I am no PHP coder at all, otherwise I would have happily had a go at it.
