Allowed values (PHP) are case sensitive - is there a workaround / Where is the code ?

Hi,

i have a problem when using an php array as allowed value - It is case sensitive. However, it is very likely many user will not only use lower cases..

Is there a workaround ? Or where do i find the query executed ?
