Inventory: Illegal choice 1 in grouping element

I get the error above in my dblog when enabling Merci Inventory. In the inventory master content type definition, changing the line

'merci_grouping' => 1,

to

'merci_grouping' => 0,

eliminates the problem and the module enables successfully.
