Hi

From a week now i am seeing some access denied error message in my drupal logs for user Anonmous. First i thought any one trying to access some admin module and drupal giving error. But when i watched it for few days, i found that actually when ever i as admin (user_id=1) itself trying to access any file which is restricted for anyother users like drupal/admin drupal/admin/settings or editing anypage, it is logging this error in the name of anonymous user. As admin when i am accessing these restricted modules i dont find any access deny error, its just the silly log entries for such act. Even when i try to open any log entry, i got another access deny error log entry for accessing the previous log entry. This is stupid. Lets see how logs look like:

access denied May 31 2006 - 13:45 admin/user denied access. Anonymous view
access denied May 31 2006 - 13:45 node/47/edit denied access. Anonymous view
access denied May 31 2006 - 13:44 admin/logs/event/116377 denied access. Anonymous view
access denied May 31 2006 - 13:44 admin denied access. Anonymous view

The last error message is log number 116377, when i try to see it, it logged another log entry above that for the same.

any idea whats wrong?

I don't have much to say concerning your issue, but I would like to voice that I have a similar issue as well. I have a fairly new site (listed below) that uses Drupal 4.7. I have registration turned off and the only one that can log in is me, id=1. When I log in, I log in just fine, but on the logs, I get two messages. One showing a successful login for my name and a second saying access denied for my name. No clue as to why, but oh well. Everything works and I don't have any other users on the site, but still an odd occurence to say the least.
