Hi I appear to have an issue with the speed a page loads using the following combination

OS: XP
Browser: Firefox 3.5.6
Drupal: 6.15
FCK Editor: 6x-1.4

When I load a page for editing it can take over a minute to load the page for complex pages with mulitple FCKEditor opportunities - even simple pages with a single instance of FCKEditor can take more than 30 seconds.

This didn't happen in 6.14 and doesn't happen if I switch to Opera or IE8. If I turn FCKEditor off for a page then load I also don't have a rendering issue.

Any thoughts?

Just to add information I have tested the same site on Ubuntu and Vista and it's fine there

Please try CKEditor at http://drupal.org/project/ckeditor.

After a little research this looks like it could be a cousin to http://drupal.org/node/655926, which to save anyone the effort is an issue between Firebug and Admin menu complete with a patch - it looks like Firebug has a big impact on some javascripts.
