When item is added to cart, and checkout button clicked, cart shows to be emtpy

If this was for an anonymous user and with page caching turned on, please see #661634: Cart page (amazon_store/cart) cached for anonymous users. Please confirm that it is your issue.
You can:

1. Install the latest dev version of Amazon Store (please report back if it fixes it for you)
2. Turn off page caching on the admin/settings/performance page
3. Try it as a logged in user.
