Hi,
I hope I'm posting this message in the correct forum.
I have followed the instructions on how to install the bad behavior module and am getting an error message "the third-party bad behavior files are not installed". At first I realized that I had the module in the root module directory instead of creating a separate subfolder -- it didn't seem to make any difference.
In reading the instructions again, there did seem to be an option to utilize template.php -- however, I am not familiar at all with programming.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
Many thanks.

Seperate package
The module provides an interface to the badbehaviour program (also php). That means that you need to install those 3rd-party files as well.
Please consult the badbehaviour README.txt file for more details (eg. where to get the files).
Please think about a more obvious error message.

Try checking the installation requirements *again*
I ran into an similar error on Drupal 4.7.2 after installing the appropriate module *and* the additional files from [1].
However, after reading the installation requirements again, I discovered that the latest version (as of this writing: bad-behavior-2.0.2.zip) seems not to be supported by the Drupal module. After deleting the muc-too-new files and repacing them with bad-behavior-1.2.4.zip and running http:////update.php, the error message "the third-party bad behavior files are not installed" disappeared from the Drupal logfiles. To be sure, you could keep even closer at the installation reqirements mentioned in the README.txt, which suggest using an even older version.
What I don't really understand is the lack of configuration options of the module; using an older version under Drupal 4.6, there were lots of options which I can't find anymore ;-(
