FlashField module seems to be abandoned. I have rewrote FlashField module from scratch and would like to replace it. I opened support request in FlashField module queue but owner didn't respond.

avpadernoI sent an email to the current maintainer.

avpadernoAs the last commit made from Stuart has been done on October 23, I think we cannot consider him not involved with Drupal development anymore.
I will wait for a reply from him for the next two weeks.

dave reidThis did not follow the abandoned projects process either. I doubt some maintainers would want to respond to an issue that says someone wants to start their module from scratch instead of politely asking if the module is still being maintained, if the maintainer needs help, etc.

web2make commentedMmmm quoted from http://drupal.org/node/251466:
"If you are a developer and would like to take over maintainership of the project"
"File an issue in that project's queue under the "support request" category stating your request to take over maintainership. "
My request - December 11, 2009 - 11:03: http://drupal.org/node/657054
"Wait two weeks to give the maintainer time to respond."
No response until today, I know it might sound harsh the first time I said it but I sent message to maintainer and there where no response. Also no response in issue queue of that project, means maintainer abandoned the project more likely than that he is not replying to my request because he think it is inappropriate. Why you are looking at every step like a machine? I mean common guys I am just offering to maintain abandon module.
"If there is no response or if the maintainer responds and gives the ok, move the issue to the webmasters queue"
I moved it here.
This is my request to maintain the module with same functionality instead of creating a new module in Drupal. I kindly ask maintainer to respond even if he don't want to give away maintainership but if he needs additional help.

avpadernoI sent a second message to the current maintainer, as I was not explicit in what we would do in the case he doesn't reply.
avpadernoI granted web2make access to the project repository.
