Hello.
Such structure of taxonomy on my site:
The term Germany

  • -The term Berlin
  • -The term Munich

The term of the USA

  • -Term New York
  • -The term Detroit

I create a material and it is attributed to a certain city. But how to search in the countries, for example: all materials of the USA? If the material is carried to the term Detroit it does not concern the parental term "USA". It is problem.

I'm very new to this, and I hope I understand your question. If so, here's the answer:

1. Create a 2-tier hierarchical taxonomy

  • Germany
    • Berlin
    • Munich
  • USA
    • New York
    • Detroit

2. When defining the taxonomy, choose select>allow multiple select

3. When creating content, select both country and city

Would an expert please check my answer?

New to this too and I think this will work, but this solution isn't really user-friendly. Is it possible to do this without using multiple choise?
