Add a permanent paragraph of text at the top of the Events page?

jeeves - June 1, 2006 - 22:12

I would like to add a short disclaimer statement that will always stay above all the events listed on my events page. Is there any straightforward way of doing this? The Events module does not seem to allow for any sort of introductory paragraph at the top of the events page.

I'm using the PHPTemplate engine with the Simplex2 theme.

Drupal Theme's Needed - Will Pay

My name is James Bell with ESG Consulting.

Our client is a well funded startup in East Bay (Northern California), developing their social networking environment using open source tools. They are using Drupal as their content management tool.

They need someone to help them create new themes in their Drupal environment.

Call if you have some bandwith, or know someone who does. I would like to give you more information about the project.

Thanks,

I am currently not aware of any module that does this dynamically, so you will need to create a customized template for that node type (assuming you are using a unique node type for events).

have a look at http://drupal.org/node/17565

You would just need to hard code that paragraph in, and then display the rest of the node how you want it.

Check out the Help Tip module

I think the help tip module may do what you want. I have not tried it yet so I am not sure how it compares to help edit (4.6) which let you set a help message based for a path. With help tip from the description you may need to add a region above the content but that is straightforward.
