I wrote fluid modification for Acquia Marina for myself and find it useful, especially for people using widesceen monitors.
Unfortunately I don't know how to contribute my own module, so I publish it here.
It should be placed inside regular Acqua Marina theme folder and be enabled as any other module.

Observer8 commentedNew archive with link to my information page on drupal site, gnu public license and install tips (just place it into your Acquia Marina folder and enable).

jwolf commentedLooks good with the one layout, first-main. However, the other layouts, first-main-last and main-last aren't looking so good.
There are four different layouts available with Acquia Marina -> http://drupal.org/node/357261#layouts
I will work on this today and try to get it in a new 2.x release as a theme setting instead of a sub-theme.
Thanks for you help!

http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=307166
the fluid width layout can be activated on the theme-settings page:
admin/build/themes/settings/acquia_marina > "Custom settings" > "Theme width"
Thanks for your help Observer8!!
