I followed these steps

Installed -
Drupal 6.15
Wysiwyg 6.x-2.0
FCKeditor 2.6.5
Advanced Blog 6.x-1.0-beta1

Toggle rich text to plain text ( provided via Wysiwyg)
Type something.
Hit save.
Nothing is saved. Not even in the database.

Disabled (but not uninstalled) Advance Blog. Everything works okay!

I cannot reproduce this with the latest version of advanced_blog (HEAD), using the provided steps.
I'm assuming this is fixed due to the code cleanup / rewrite that took place.

You might want to retry with Wysiwyg 6.x-2.1 and next release of advanced_blog module, out soon.
